Since my re-entry into card making, I've discovered lots of new stamp companies. One of my favorite discoveries is The Ton Stamps.
They offer fresh, fun and funky stamp designs, dies and their gilding is to DIE for! The set I used here was one of their gorgeous floral sets called Wild Peonies . I am quickly acquiring a nice collection of stamps from The Ton, and you should check them out!
Another new discovery for cardmaking are the Zig Kuretake Clean Color brush markers. These markers are awesome. They come in 80 colors, and you can get in sets or ala carte. I started with a small set of 24, and quickly realized I needed more to round out my collections.
You can purchase these on Amazon and various other stamp supply sites.
I took some 140 lb cold press watercolor paper and heat embossed my images with white. Then I took my Zig markers and just added a tiny bit of color to the flowers and leaves. I used two colors per flower and leaf. Then I spritzed a fine mist of water over the top, and used a paint brush to move some of the color around and heat set it. Super easy, and super cool effect with these markers.
For this card, I stamped my flowers and leaves with Versamark ink and then used fine gold embossing powder. I used the Zig markers pretty much full strength on this card, and only used a tiny bit of water to move around some of the color. I like it, so vibrant and fun!
That's all I got for today. Please make sure you check out the links (they are not affiliate links) and support these small businesses.
